The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), in partnership with the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), will host the 5th Annual Air Transportation Information Exchange Conference (ATIEC) on September 20-22, 2016 at the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Auditorium and Science Center in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA.

The key enabler in delivering information services in a Global Air Traffic Management (ATM) Environment is Information Management. The scope and scale of this task requires us to work in partnership to manage information, as a global commodity, focusing on best practices that can be applied to exchanging, delivering, and discovering Global ATM information in an interoperable way within the context of the Global ATM Network. This conference supports the work being done in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Information Management Panel (IMP).

This year’s conference will focus on the overarching theme of “Aviation Information World – Forecasting the Future”. We will share information on global changes in three major information domains and their exchange models (XMs): Aeronautical, Flight and Weather; through the use of System Wide Information Management (SWIM) in all its facets.

These are only some of the exciting topics for the conference, so we hope you will join us!
