January 25th is the observance of International Data Privacy Day and the Census Bureau is teaming up with FBC to provide an exhibitor expo that specialize in Data Privacy to help them accomplish their agency wide mission to safeguard data. Employees will be encouraged to meet with industry exhibitors throughout the day to learn about their products and exchange ideas on ways that these products and services can enhance the mission of the Policy Coordination Office. The 2016 Data Privacy Day attracted over 200 attendees and provided exhibitors with many leads and potential business opportunities.
All companies that specialize in data privacy are invited to participate.

The Expo will be held in the conference center.
All visitors must go through a metal detector and your equipment will have to go through a scanner as well. Large equipment or boxes that will not fit through the scanner must enter through the loading dock to be checked. IF YOU HAVE ANY LARGE EQUIPMENT OR BOXES TO BRING IN FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS BELOW: • Exit the Capital Beltway (495) at Exit 11 West, Pennsylvania Ave/MD 4, continue west to Silver Hill Road (approx. 2.5 miles). • At the traffic light (Silver Hill Road) turn left (Penn Station Shopping Center on right corner,(vacant lot on the left corner). • Follow Silver Hill Road to the 3rd traffic light. Turn right at the light onto Suitland Road and proceed about 1 mile to the water tower on the left (Gate 0). • Turn left at the water tower and show the guard your driver`s license and proceed about 1/2 mile to the gate (Gate 9) on the road you are on. • The guard will inspect your vehicle and provide you with a parking pass to enter the (RDF) loading dock area. • You will unload your equipment/boxes at the loading dock and then will have to move your car to the Visitor Parking. • After parking, enter at the Metro Entrance. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY EQUIPMENT OR BOXES TO BRING IN, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS BELOW: • Exit the Capital Beltway (495) at Exit 11 West, Pennsylvania Ave/MD 4, continue west to Silver Hill Road (approx. 2.5 miles). • At the traffic light (Silver Hill Road) turn left (Penn Station Shopping Center on right corner, Recreation Vehicles business on left corner). • Follow Silver Hill Road to the fourth traffic light. Turn right into Suitland Federal Center at Gate 5. (There is a Popeye`s Chicken and a Rite Aid near this entrance) • Make an immediate right into the visitor center lot. Take your ID into the visitor center and let them know you are going to Conference Center in the new building. You will need to give them you tag number. Your vehicle will be inspected. • The guard will direct you around the complex to the Visitor Parking. You'll enter through the metro entrance. • Directional signs will lead you from the metro entrance to the conference center.
The Suitland Metro Station on the Green Line is fairly close to the U.S. Census Bureau. Taxis are available.
Please see the above directions regarding the Equipment and Parking procedures. Parking is available in the Visitor's Lot. However, please get their early as parking is limited. Carpooling is encouraged! Please bring a handcart to transport your equipment from either the lot or loading dock.
