LTC Anthony K. Whitfield is the Product Manager for Wideband Enterprise Satellite Systems (PdM WESS) executing an annual budget exceeding $168 million and a workforce of over 100 personnel. As PdM WESS, LTC Whitfield is responsible for the acquisition, development and modernization of DoD strategic satellite terminals, associated baseband projects and wideband global satellite control systems. His office provides ground infrastructure and control capabilities for the Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) constellation and the legacy Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) constellation in conjunction with the USAF WGS Program Office, Missile Defense Agency, DISA, and US Army Strategic Command.

LTC Anthony K. Whitfield was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army's Signal Corps in 1999. His education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from South Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration, from American Military University. He is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps with Level III certifications in Program Management and Contracting and Level I certification in Information Systems. Anthony is Lean Six Sigma-Green Belt certified, and is certified as a Federal Contract Manager under the National Contract Management Association.

His assignments include Motor Transport Operator/88M, 941st Transportation Company, North Charleston, SC; System Integration officer and Platoon Leader for Charlie Company, 124th Signal Battalion, Fort Hood, TX; Battalion Signal Officer (S-6), 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery, Fort Hood, TX; Team Signal Officer (S-6), Command Support Coordination Team One, Eighth Army, South Korea; Commander, Charlie Company, 307th Integrated Theater Signal Battalion, Camp Carroll, South Korea; and Network Engineer, 6th Theater Network Operations Security Center, Camp Walker, South Korea.

LTC Whitfield transitioned to the Army Acquisition Corps in 2007. He has served as Contract Management Officer, CECOM Contracting Center, Fort Monmouth, NJ; Assistant Product Manager, Tactical Battle Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; Executive Officer, Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications - Tactical, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; Deputy Plans and Support Operations and 603rd Contingency Contracting Team, 413th Contracting Support Brigade, Hawaii. His latest assignment was with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology as a Department of the Army Systems Coordinator.

LTC Whitfield's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Medal.

LTC Whitfield is married to Altwan and they are the proud parents of Ashleigh.
