Logistics for Visiting CDC

Please arrive early to account for CDC visitor check-in.

Upon arrival at the main campus, please veer to the right towards the visitor security checkpoint. All vehicles belonging to visitors will undergo a thorough search. After completing this initial screening process, you will proceed to the visitor's parking deck.

From the parking deck, make your way to the building's main entrance. Upon entering, you will once again undergo security procedures. Kindly ensure you have your government-issued ID readily available. Inform the security personnel about the individual you are meeting with or the specific meeting you are attending. They will then either issue you a badge or direct you to retrieve your badge from the registration table located behind their station. Following this, you will pass through a metal detector.

Screening Testing

Screening testing is no longer required for visitors based on vaccination status or COVID-19 hospital admission level. For the best protection, CDC recommends everyone stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines. You are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines when you have received all doses in the primary series and all boosters recommended for you, when eligible.

Parking

Parking spaces for Roybal campus visitors are available in the parking lot adjacent to the Visitors Center (Building 19), which is located on CDC Parkway (on the west side of the campus).

All vehicles are subject to inspection upon entering CDC property.

Visitors, vendors, and other guests must stop at the visitors’ entrance guard station (under the main canopy when entering the campus on CDC Parkway). The guard will ask for identification and the purpose of the visit. Once cleared, the visitor may park and go directly to the guard station inside the Visitors Center to sign in.

Pedestrian and Cyclist Access

Pedestrian and cyclist access point is available through the main gate at CDC Parkway. Bicycle racks are available at the Visitor Parking Deck.

Rideshare Drop-off Location

If being dropped off, there is a rideshare drop-off point off CDC Parkway, right outside the main entrance of the campus.

Visitor Badges

You can get a visitor badge at the Visitor Center guard stations or visitor entry points at the facility. Visitors will be required to show a valid government-issued ID to receive a visitor badge.

Everyone at CDC facilities must wear a badge in plain sight, above the waist. Visitor badges must only be worn by the assigned visitor.

Visitors should turn in the visitor badge to the guard at the nearest guard station at the end of their visit.
