PRACTICE ROUNDS

The Practice Rounds are unscored events intended for teams to experiment with the CyberNEXS competition environment, verify technical requirements, and otherwise ensure their networks/systems are prepared for the event. These rounds are voluntary and offered as a convenience to teams, especially new ones. You will need the (free) VMWare Player and a computer capable of running it effectively to be successful in the competition.

Practice Rounds are "virtual" in nature meaning teams will download a VMWare image from Leidos to install and connect on their system. (Instructions and login information provided to team captains prior to each round.)

For technical questions about the Maryland Cyber Challenge or CyberNEXS please contact the Leidos team at cybernexs@leidos.com.

As with the Practice Rounds, the qualifiers are virtual rounds as well. Once connected to the CyberNEXS environment, teams have six *continuous* hours to perform their tasks.
