James Wernicke is a researcher in the Advanced Research in Cyber Systems (A-4) group at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He enjoys figuring out how to integrate new technologies into the national lab environment. Throughout his career, he has worked in many computing specializations, from cyber security to cloud computing to high performance computing. His experience in both developer and operations roles gives him a unique perspective and appreciation for the DevOps paradigm and the technologies that enable it. When he's not snowboarding or mountain biking in his free time, James teaches a CoderDojo computer programming class for elementary school students and participates in competitive hacking events around the world.
