Ash is the enterprise architect at the Livermore Lab's IT group. He has been in that role for the past 21/2 years where he is involved with the IT DR strategy and the architecture moving business apps to the AWS cloud. Previously Ash was the enterprise architect for Safeway IT in Pleasanton CA and the enterprise application architect at Blue Shield of CA in SanFrancisco CA. He moved from Connecticut to California about nine years ago.
Greg Herweg
Greg is the Chief Technology Officer for the LLNL IT Program (LivIT) where he runs the Strategy & Advanced Programs Office. He has a background in software development and architecture and is responsible for the LLNL cloud strategy. Greg manages the evaluation and approval of cloud IaaS vendors. He runs the Integrated Project Team (IPT) that determined the LLNL cloud security/billing architecture and instantiated the processes associated with automated account provisioning.
Judd Sproba
Judd is the Lead Web Services Administrator / Systems Engineer (Systems & Network Group) at Lawrence Livermore National Lab.
He provides onsite/cloud programmatic automation & monitoring solutions, with a focus in the Ansible/Tower realms.
He is the senior technical lead on numerous AWS initiatives - including recently, migrating to Splunk's SmartStore (S3-backed) architecture.
He is also the infrastructure architect on the AWS IoT space - building prototypes as a means to gain understanding and increase visibility
