Government Registration Process

Registration Fee:

Registration to attend the 2017 IAS Symposium is free to all Government/Military personnel.

Government Registration Requirement:

Online pre-registration for this event is REQUIRED to reserve a seat. On-site registration will NOT be offered or available.

A pre-registration submission DOES NOT guarantee a reservation to attend the event. While this conference is unclassified, it is also a vetted event. Therefore, all pre-registration submissions will be verified.

Confirmation Emails:

Please ensure that a valid e-mail address is provided when registering for this event. Registrants will receive two confirmation emails:

  1. Registrants will receive a confirmation email immediately after submitting their registration request.
  2. After the verification process has been completed for your registration submission you will receive a final email confirmation with final acceptance or denial of your registration.

Per DoD Guidance, when registering for the IAS 2017, you will be asked to provide your estimated travel costs. This will be the dollar amount that you submit to DoD for reimbursement (e.g., airfare, lodging, rental car, etc.). Your registration will not be confirmed until this information is provided.

Contractor Registration Process

Registration Fee:

The registration fee to attend the 2017 IAS Symposium for sponsored contractors is $355.

Contractor Registration Requirements:

Online pre-registration for this event is REQUIRED to reserve a seat. On-site registration will NOT be offered or available.

During the registration process all contractors MUST supply their government sponsor name and government sponsor email. Your government sponsor must approve your attendance before your registration can be verified by NSA. Your sponsor will receive an email with instructions on how to approve your attendance so make sure you enter their correct email address.

Payments:

Credit card payments are processed during the on-line registration process for attendance that require a registration fee as we do not store credit card information. If your registration is not approved then your registration fee will be promptly refunded.

Academia Registration Process

Registration Fee:

The registration fee to attend the 2017 IAS Symposium for academia is $195.

Registration Changes/Updates

Sessions Selections:

You will be able to login and make session selections (once available) with the email address you provided in your registration and the password you created.

Attendance Approval Status

You will receive a final confirmation email after the verification process is completed. You can also login with your registration email and password to see your current status.

Cancellations

If, for any reason, the confirmed registrant is unable to attend the symposium, please submit a notice of cancellation to Tina Sheehy at tina@fbcinc.com. Paying attendees please see the refund policy.

Refund Policy

Cancellation requests must be received in writing or by email no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) Monday, June 5, 2017 to be eligible for a refund of the registration fee. After 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, June 5, 2017 the attendee shall be liable for 100% of the registration fee. Email inquiries to tina@fbcinc.com or call 301-206-2940.

Substitutions

No substitutions are allowed as this is a vetted conference.

Day of Event Details/Policies

Badge Requirement:

Attendees are required to wear conference badges for all conference activities.
Badges will be checked against valid, government issued identification each day.

Dress Code:

When attending an NSA event, the dress attire is business casual. Military personnel can be in their uniform of the day. It is recommended that you bring a sweater or light jacket to the conference in case the temperature of the conference facilities is cool.

Disability Access Information:

This event is in full compliance with the “Americans with Disabilities Act.” Please contact IA_Events@nsa.gov (Underscore between IA and Events) for access information as well as Auxiliary Aides.

Use of Fragrances:

The National Security Agency (NSA) is committed to being a model employer. To this end, to be mindful of those whose sensitivity to fragrances may be heightened, we are encouraging participants at NSA sponsored events to refrain from wearing, or reduce their use of, scented products.

Electronic Devices

While we do not prohibit laptop computers, tablets, and cell phones, they must not be used for recording (i.e., video, audio, and photography) and should be operated in "silent" mode out of consideration for speakers and other conference attendees while attending sessions. Recording of any kind (i.e., video, audio, photography) is strictly prohibited during the sessions.

Hotel Room Block

A sleeping room block has been reserved for IAS 2017 attendees at the Hilton Baltimore. The rooms are refundable up to 72 hours in advance of check-in. If the attendee cancels their room reservation within 72 hours in advance of check-in, the "deposit" (which is the authorized hold of one-night room and tax) will be released from their card. If the attendees cancels less than 72 hours, they will be charged for the one night room and tax as a cancellation fee.
