John Vontran is a Program Manager with the Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation with the State of Maryland where he develops apprenticeship and training programs by assisting prospective and established sponsors in developing standards of apprenticeship. He fosters relationships with potential apprentices, employers, and sponsors for the registered Apprenticeship and Training Program to promote both youth and adult workforce development. He represents program sponsors, employers, and apprentices before the Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Council (MATC). Prior and current to his career with the State of Maryland, he is a residential property developer in both Baltimore City and County for multiple affordable housing rehabilitation and new home projects. He is actively involved in the community as a member of various charitable foundations and boards including Freemasonry, Mount Moriah Lodge, Towson, MD and Signal 13 Foundation, Baltimore City Police, to help support fallen police officers and their families.
