Omondi John Opala, PhD has over 20 years of experience in network engineering, information security, assurance, IT governance, and managing cross-functional technical teams. Dr. Opala is a regular regular speaks on the value proposition of Cyber Secuirty Engineering, Security Operation Center, and changing landscape of security in the age of Cloud and IoT. He also has published articles covering subjects such Cloud Architecture, the impact of cyber warfare on enterprise networks and the role of security risk governance currently undergoing peer review process with MIS and IEEE Journals. He currently works for Sealed Air corporation as Director of Cyber Security Engineering and Operations.
In addition, Dr. Opala has taught as Adjunct Professor for different Universities & Colleges lecturing mostly on IT networking, certified ethical hacking, information security risk management, Information Security and Assurance. He received his Ph.D. in Information Technology with specialization in Information Security Assurance & Governance from Capella University and he is currently pursuing continuing education in Business Management at Harvard University Extension School.
