Dr. Joed Carbonell-Lopez is a seasoned cyber, intelligence, and policy professional. He is an Education Fellow with the Cyber Security Forum Initiative where he advocates for the future of education and training in cybersecurity. He also serves as a commander of one of the Maryland Air National Guard cyberspace operations squadrons where he is responsible for the organization, training, and equipping of an elite group of cyber operations professionals. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor of cybersecurity policy and global management for Indiana Wesleyan University.

He has had an extremely diverse career of over 20 years in cyber operations, intelligence operations, IT management, leadership and management, software project management and technology insertion. Joed holds a doctorate in strategic leadership from Regent University, master's in management from University of Maryland University College, and a bachelor's in modern languages and linguistics from University of Maryland Baltimore County.
