Mr. Smith has been leading the contractor team for the NIST Cybersecurity Framework for the last 5 years. During that time, he has led the team through 8 national workshops, conducted analysis of 3 requests for information, and provided architectural support to the Framework through trusted advising. Matthew has also worked on other NIST products; he is one of the authors of Special Publication 800-184: Guide for Cybersecurity Event Recovery as well as acknowledged as a contributor in Special Publication 800-181: NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. Matthew is known for his proclivity to create, visualize, and connect frameworks to develop working solutions for customers. Mr. Smith was also a staff writer for the Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity under Executive Order 13718. Mr. Smith has worked in the commercial sector providing consulting services to aide clients ranging from academia to international governments.
