Major General (Retired) Brett T. Williams is the President, Operations, Training and Security Division, IronNet Cybersecurity. Brett co-founded IronNet in 2014 following retirement from his 33-year career with the U.S. Air Force. IronNet is developing an advanced cyber-defense capability based on anomaly detection using behavioral analytics and big data analysis. In addition to his work at IronNet, Brett provides board and executive training in cyber-risk oversight. In his final active duty assignment, General Williams was the Director of Operations for U.S. Cyber Command where he was responsible for the operations and defense of Department of Defense networks as well as the planning and execution of offensive cyberspace operations in support of U.S. strategic objectives. General Williams is a highly-experienced combat fighter pilot and held several significant command and staff positions during his career. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Duke University along with three additional degrees in management and national security.
