All visitors should be prepared to submit to a personal inspection when entering the SW Complex facilities. These inspections may be conducted with a handheld monitoring device, a metal detector, and by visible inspection. Additionally, your personal belongings may be inspected and passed through an x-ray machine.
Visitor entrance is on the Independence Avenue side of the Building:
Prior to gaining entry, all non-U.S. citizen visitor requests must be submitted and approved through the Foreign National Management Systems (FNMS) at least five business days prior to the visit.
Please e-mail the HHS International Team at International@hhs.gov for more information on the vetting process.
Once vetted, the International Team will forward the approval/disapproval to PhysicalSecurity@hhs.gov.

The HHH building is accessible via the METRO Blue, Orange or Silver lines at Federal Center SW metro station (401 3rd St SW, Washington, DC 20024)
Directions to the Building From Federal Center SW metro station (blue/orange line): Make a left at the top of the escalators upon exiting to the street. The HHS Humphrey building is about a block away on the right at the corner of C & 3rd Street (the visitor entrance is on the Independence Avenue side).
These are the two closest airports to the Washington, D.C. area. Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) is the shortest travel distance to the meeting (3 miles south of downtown Washington, D.C.). Both airports have car rental services, as well as bus options.
