The Foreign Language Program Office (FLPO) of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and the National Cryptologic School (NCS) are pleased to announce that the Low Density Language Resources Education and Resources Network (LEARN) Workshop will be held Monday, 28 September and Tuesday, 29 September, 2015, at the Doubletree by Hilton in Silver Spring, MD.

The LEARN workshops provide foreign language professionals from U.S. Government (USG)-affiliated schools and institutions a venue to interact with their colleagues where they can:

  • discuss and explore issues related to the science and technology of foreign language education;
  • share their knowledge, experience, unique perspective, and educational best practices with peers;
  • develop networks of teachers to create communities of practices, and
  • reduce duplication of efforts in areas such as curriculum design and course development.

This LEARN Workshop is open to instructors and course developers of all Low Density Languages from any USG-affiliated institution. This workshop will focus on finding/determining the resources and materials available for instruction in Low Density Languages.

Participation in this LEARN workshop is limited to instructors, course developers and other professionals from USG-affiliated institutions.

Funding for any associated travel expenses will be the responsibility of the attendees' organization.
