The workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 26th and Thursday, September 27th, at The Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, Maryland

  • Share their knowledge, experience, unique perspective, and educational best practices with peers;
  • Discuss and explore issues related to the science and technology of foreign language education;
  • Develop networks of teachers to create communities of practices,
  • Reduce duplication of effort in areas such as curriculum design, course delivery and assessment.

This LEARN Workshop is open to foreign language professionals including instructors and course developers from any USG-affiliated institution. Presentations related specifically to Asian languages are encouraged. The three main themes are: Instructional Technology and Design, Innovation in Teaching Approaches, and Innovation and Accountability in Language Assessment and Placement.
