The OCIO is hosting the Department of Commerce's Cybersecurity Awareness Symposium on Thursday, October 17, 2019.
The symposium and expo will host various discussions highlighting best practices for enterprise IT and cyber initiatives,
followed by an informational roundtable discussion with interagency partners.
Federal and Industry partners have been invited to share their knowledge on effectively implementing cybersecurity,
provide insight on protecting Nation's Critical Infrastructure, and discuss trends in cyber threats of which we should be aware, to support our Department mission.
The theme this year, A Unified Front | Coordinating Offense & Defense to Combat Cybercrime,
highlights policy and standards as the central components of intra-agency and interagency cybersecurity awareness, implementation, and monitoring.

Audience: Cybersecurity and Non-cybersecurity
Professionals of the Federal Executive Branch Cybersecurity subject matter experts of diverse skillsets will share their knowledge on cyber innovation, standardized policy application, and effective cyber threat detection and countermeasure implementation.
This event occurs simultaneously with the Cyber Security Awareness Symposium. Leading private industry vendors and Federal partners will provide information and demonstrate cyber and IT security methodologies, services, and solutions to the federal and partnering contract community.
