As the Chief Information Security Officer at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, Jothi Dugar leads and manages all aspects of Healthcare Information Security for the nation's largest biomedical research hospital to include medical device security as well. Jothi has been in this role for the last seven years and has established and grown the Information Security Office as well a the security posture of the NIH and the Clinical Center significantly. With her forward thinking capability and innovative techniques, she is not afraid to take risks and think outside the box. In her previous experience, Jothi has worked extensively with the Department of Defense in both civilian and consulting roles as well as other Federal agencies. Jothi holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park as well as numerous professional and recognized security certifications. Her passion is in mentoring young women to get involved in Cybersecurity and encourage them to seek leadership roles.
