With more than 25-years in the economic development profession, Tom has worked with partners in industry, higher education and at every level of government. His career projects exceed $10 billion in value and 50,000 jobs; these include the 2005 BRAC win for Aberdeen Proving Ground and numerous HQ, R&D lab and industrial projects for major government and private sector clients.
Tom has held leadership positions at both the local and regional levels. Most recently he served as President & CEO of the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore. His work with the University System of Maryland is focused on company creation and tech commercialization, growing partnerships with industry and government agencies, developing student internships, R&D opportunities and launching the USM's new $25 million early-stage Maryland Momentum Fund. His efforts span all industry sectors, to include: aerospace, cyber, bio-health, virtual and augmented reality, autonomous systems, energy, environmental sustainability, additive manufacturing and education-technology.
He is a lifelong resident of Maryland, a proud graduate of UMBC and active on many boards related to business, economic development, public policy, education and health.
