Major General (Ret) James Bryan

General Bryan is Chairman of the Board and Proxy Holder for UltiSat, Inc, former Chairman of the Board and Outside Director for Eutelsat America Corporation; Board Director and Strategic Advisor to Vancro, Inc; and a member of the Board of Advisors of DB Networks, Inc. He is a former Board Director of Cyber Squared, Inc.; Partner and CEO of Vigilant Watch Integration, Inc.; and Partner and President of Secure Network Systems. He is a Principal on the Steering Committee of the Security Innovation Network Forum; a charter member and principal of the Cyber Conflict Studies Association; Distinguished Speaker of the Amphion Cyber Security Forum; former senior Director of the AFCEA Education Foundation; and a former member of the Jacksonville State University Board of Governors. He is a recognized technical expert in the areas of DoD enterprise terrestrial and space-based telecommunications, information technologies, global network operations, cyber security, and strategic business planning.
He has advised and assisted several Universities in establishing Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in cyber security. He is a Founder and the Senior Mentor of The Leadership Forum. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Corporate Directors Program and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Mr. Bryan retired from the U.S. Army as a Major General in 2004. During his more than 34 years of active military service he served in a variety of command and staff positions at every level. A Master Paratrooper, Ranger, and Special Forces qualified Signal officer he commanded a platoon in the 82nd Airborne Division, a company in the 7th Special Forces Group, the 112th Special Operations Signal Battalion, the 35th Airborne Signal Brigade, and USSTRATCOM Joint Task Force - Computer Network Operations/Global Network Operations. In his final assignment before retirement he served as the Vice Director of the Defense Information Systems Agency.
In his business career he has served as the Vice President for Defense Transformation and Sector Vice President for Global C4ISR and Space, Northrop Grumman Corp; President of the Defense Systems Group, then Corporate Executive Vice President, ManTech International Corp; President of the Strategic Solutions Group and National Security Group, USfalcon Inc, and now as founder and President/CEO of Bryan Business Management and Technology, a consulting, advisory and assistance company focusing on developing success driven strategic plans and competitive business leadership, management and win strategies for growth-oriented entrepreneurial companies, large and small.
Mr. Bryan has a Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State University with majors in Chemistry and English and a Master's Degree in Adult Education from North Carolina State University with a concentration in interactive learning systems where he was also selected for Phi Kappa Phi honors for attaining a perfect 4.0 GPA in graduate studies. He is the Distinguished Honor Graduate of the Signal Corps Advanced Course, Meritorious Award recipient for Research Excellence and Graduate of the US Army Command and Staff College, and the Distinguished Writing Award winner for his thesis as a Graduate of the US Army War College. Among numerous awards and honors he is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal
