Lieutenant Colonel Jim A. Lee assumed his duties as Product Manager Army Training Information System (ATIS) in July 2018. In this role, Lt. Col. Lee is responsible for the material development of ATIS, providing Soldiers and leaders with a single Army enterprise capability to manage, schedule, develop, report and deliver Army training.

Lt. Col. Lee earned his commission from Marion Military Institute as an Air Defense Officer in 1996. His initial assignment was as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer of Bravo Battery, 2-265th Air Defense Artillery Battalion, West Palm Beach, Florida. He was next assigned as the Executive Officer of Bravo Battery, 1-44th Air Defense Artillery Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas.

After his tour in Fort Hood, he attended the Air Defense Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms Services Staff School, and the Mechanized Leader's Course. He then took Command of Bravo Battery, 5-5th Air Defense Artillery Battalion, Camp Hovey, Korea. After his tour in Korea, Lt. Col. Lee took command of the Springfield Recruiting Company, St. Louis Battalion, Springfield, Illinois.

In 2005, Lt. Col. Lee joined the Acquisition Corps and attended the Army Acquisition Basic Course, Huntsville, Alabama; Command and General Staff College, Fort Lee, Virginia; and the Intermediate Qualification Course, Austin, Texas. He was assigned to the 601st Senior Contingency Contracting Team, Fort Stewart, Georgia, and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as part of Multinational Forces Iraq/Afghanistan. Lt. Col. Lee continued his career in the 409th Contracting Support Brigade, Kaiserslautern, Germany, as a Contracting Team Leader and Brigade Training Officer before assuming the role of Assistant TRADOC Capabilities Manager for BCT Mission Command Systems. Lt. Col. Lee also served as the Military Deputy to the District Contracting Chief, Savannah District United States Army Corps of Engineers. While assigned, he deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and supported several disaster response efforts.

Lt. Col. Lee holds an Associate of Arts from Marion Military Institute, Bachelor of Business, and a Masters of International Business from Florida International University.

His awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Assistance Medal, Combat Action Badge, Recruiting Badge, and Order of St. Barbara.
