Mr. Timothy Hale became the Product Director for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Enterprise System and Services (ALTESS) at the Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) in August 2017. In this role he is responsible for providing military-strength data security solutions and support for the Army's most critical applications. Mr. Hale has more than 35 years of operational and executive level experience as a Department of the Army civilian, U.S. Army Acquisition Corps Officer, Army Signal Corps Officer and Naval Enlisted Aviator.

Prior to his role at PEO EIS, Mr. Hale was assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Procurement from 2013-2017. His first Department of the Army civilian position was with the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command at Fort Eustis, Virginia, as the Chief for the Army's Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems from 2009-2013.

Mr. Hale entered military service as an Aviation Electronics Technician in the U.S. Navy Reserves, VR-48, NAF Washington from 1982-1987. He was commissioned in the U.S. Army Signal Corps and entered active duty in 1989. His assignments included Platoon Leader, Executive Officer and Assistant Operations Officer for the 124th Signal Battalion (BN) and Signal Officer for the 1/3 Air Defense Artillery BN, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado; Assistant Operations Officer, 36th Signal BN, 1st Signal Brigade in Daegu, Republic of Korea; and Company Commander, Headquarters Company, Information Systems Engineering Command at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Mr. Hale entered the Army Acquisition Corps in 1997 with assignments at the Army Training Support Center as the Chief for Systems Training Requirements, Assistant Program Manager - Live, Project Manager Training Devices, PEO Simulations Training and Instrumentation in Orlando, Florida, where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; Space and Ground Electronics Officer for the Defense Science and Technology Center - Europe in Wiesbaden, Germany; and Deputy Brigade Commander, 408th Contracting Support Brigade at Camp Airfjan, Kuwait. Mr. Hale retired from active duty as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2009.

Mr. Hale was awarded the Commander's Award for Civilian Service in 2016 and his military decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters [OLC]), the Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), the Army Superior Unit Award, the Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Naval Aircrew Wings and the Parachutist Badge.

Mr. Hale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in government from Longwood University and a Master of Science degree in information systems from the University of Colorado. He is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Senior Executive Fellows Program.
