COL Robert "RJ" Mikesh became the Project Manager for Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP) at the Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) in August 2017. Prior to his role at PEO EIS, he served as the Senior Military Assistant to Mr. James A. MacStravic, the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics in the Office of the Secretary Of Defense.

COL Mikesh was commissioned in 1995 through ROTC at Clarkson University. His previous assignments include Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer with 3rd Infantry Division, 1996-1999; Company Commander in 2nd Aviation Battalion in the Republic of Korea, 2000-2001; Recruiting Company Commander, Seattle Recruiting Battalion, 2001-2004; Project Leader at the Prototype Integration Facility of the Aviation & Missile, RDEC, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, 2004-2005; Project Leader with the U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, 2005; Assistant Product Manager (APM) for Personnel Recovery Support Equipment in Product Manager (PdM) Air Warrior, PEO Soldier, 2006-2007; APM for Command, Control, Communications and Computers for U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Ground Application Program Office at Fort Belvoir, 2008-2009; Acquisition Corps Assignment Officer at U.S. Army Human Resources Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky, 2010-2011; APM for Special Programs with the Defense Continuity Integrated Network - Top Secret Program Office, Alexandria, Virginia 2011-2012; and PdM for Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program within PEO EIS, 2012-2015.

COL Mikesh's awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters [OLC]), the Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Army Aviator Badge and the Army Recruiter Badge.

COL Mikesh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, a Master of Science in management/acquisition and contract management, Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, the Army Acquisition Basic Course and the Command and General Staff College Intermediate Level Education Course. He is also DOD Acquisition Workforce certified in Program Management (Level 3), System Planning, Research, Development and Engineering - System Engineer (Level 1) and Test and Evaluation (Level 1).

COL Mikesh is married to the former Anaid Danyelle Shaver. They have two children, Cameryn and Sean.
