Proposal Submissions

The NLIT Society will start accepting proposals on January 6th. All proposals must be submitted by midnight EST on March 31st. A confirmation email will be sent to all that submit an abstract by April 16th regarding their submission.

Tracks for the NLIT Summit 2010 are:

  • Managing the Desktop, to include tools, FDCC, Patching, Least User Privilege/Access, and imaging on all platforms
  • Service Desk, to include remote assistance, elevation of privileges, and service desk tools.
  • Networking, to include network segmentation, remote access, networking tools, and firewalls/filters
  • Governance and Management, to include Metrics and Service Level Agreements
  • Infrastructure Tools and Server Management, to include Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Monitoring, Server Protection, Server Patching, managing and protecting privilege accounts, and separation of duties
  • Support to R&D, including scientific software and computing clusters
  • Communication and Collaboration, to include tools used to communicate with users and tools to provide better collaboration with others
  • Applications/Web Development, to include tools, standards, code review, Software Quality Assurance, Common User Interface, reducing cost/life-cycle
  • Cyber Security, including log aggregation, scanning, and intrusion detection
  • Cloud Computing, including virtualization, high-density servers, and energy-efficient/green computing
  • Blackberry, the Blackberry Summit will be incorporated in to the 2010 NLIT

While we encourage abstract submissions in one of the above categories, we welcome any submissions that the presenter feels is of interest to other Laboratories.
