The 2009 Information Assurance Conference of the Pacific (IACP) will be hosted by FBC once again. The conference will convene from Tuesday, June 16th until noon Friday, June 19th. Exhibits will open at the reception on Tuesday, June 16th and will close on Thursday, June 18th. The speakers and conference content will be provided by the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) Communications System Directorate.
IACP is where IA professionals in the Pacific Theater assemble to focus on improving the IA security posture of information networks and systems. The conference provides Pacific Theater IA and Information Technology professionals the opportunity to share ideas, exchange information and engage in discussions on ways to further protect and strengthen the defensive posture of information systems. This will be accomplished through a series of briefings and panel discussions focusing on current and proposed IA policies, strategies, and initiatives.
IACP will focus on the impact of IA technologies, policies and activities of the IA professional in his/her ability to support Cyberspace Operations. Given the Global War on Terror and national priorities that require close coordination with coalition partners, there will be participation from select members of the Defense International Community.
DRESS CODE: Please note that the uniform for the conference is short sleeve, open collared shirt uniform (Class B). Civilians/Contractors are Business Aloha Wear (tie and suit jacket not required).
