The 2008 Information Assurance Conference of the Pacific (IACP) will be hosted by FBC once again. The conference will convene from Monday, June 9th until noon Thursday, June 12th. Exhibits will open at the reception on Tuesday, June 10th, and will close at noon on Thursday, June 12th. The speakers and conference content will be provided by the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) Communications System Directorate.
IACP is where IA professionals in the Pacific Theater assemble to focus on improving the IA security posture of information networks and systems. The conference provides Pacific Theater IA and Information Technology professionals the opportunity to share ideas, exchange information and engage in discussions on ways to further protect and strengthen the defensive posture of information systems. This will be accomplished through a series of briefings and panel discussions focusing on current and proposed IA policies, strategies, and initiatives.
IACP will focus on the impact of IA technologies, policies and activities of the IA professional in his/her ability to support the Warfighter. Given the Global War on Terror and national priorities that require close coordination with coalition partners, there will be participation from members of the Defense International Community.
