Conference Fees

Q:What is the fee to attend the FIAC Sessions?

The cost to attend the October 27-28 FIAC Sessions is as follows.

On-line preregistration prior to September 1, 2008
 Government: $495 per person
 Industry: $595 per person

On-line preregistration on or after September 1, 2008
 Government: $595 per person
 Industry: $695 per person

On-site registration
 Government: $695 per person
 Industry: $795 per person

Q: What is the cost to attend the FIAC Tutorials on October 29?

The cost to attend the FIAC Tutorials on October 29 is $225 for industry/contractor personnel and $175 for Federal Government employees.

Q: What is included in the cost?

The attendance fee includes all conference proceedings, breakfast, lunch, and breaks. This does not include parking or lodging. Attendees must make their own lodging arrangements. The fees for parking can be found here http://www.itcdc.com/about.php?p=7.

Attendee Cancellation Refund Policy

Q: What is the cancellation/refund policy for attendees?

Any cancellation requests must be received in writing or by email by September 26, 2008 to be eligible for a refund of the entire registration fee. Cancellation requests received after September 26, 2008 and before 5:00 p.m. ET October 13, 2008 will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee. After 5:00 p.m. ET October 13, 2008 the attendee shall be liable for 100% of the registration fee. There is a 25% reprocessing fee to change to a different payment method once payment has been received. Email inquiries to tina@fbcinc.com.

Substitution Policy

Q: Do you have a substitution policy?

Substitutions can be made for a registered attendee by October 14th without penalty.

Dress Code

Q: Is there a dress code?

The dress is business casual. Military uniform is not required.

Methods of Payment

Q: What payment methods are accepted?

Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Amex, or Mastercard), DD1556 or SF281.

Q: What is the procedure for paying with DD1556 or SF281 training forms?

Government employees using their training funds must submit a copy of their training form to the Federal Business Council no later than October 17, 2008. The training form may be faxed to (301)206-2950 or sent by mail to:

Availability of Slide Presentations

Q: Will the presentations be available on-line after the conference?

Yes, the presentations will be available approximately one week after the conference. Attendees will be sent an email with the URL, username, and password to view the presentation slides.

Q: Will the presentations be included in the binders?

Hard copies of the presentations will be handed out during the session. All presentations will be available for download from the conference website approximately one week after the conference.

Lodging

Q: Is lodging included in the registration fee?

Lodging is not included in the exhibitor or attendee registration fee.

CPE Credit

Q: Is CPE Credit available?

Continuing Professional Education credits are awarded to CISSPs who attend Information Security activities such as seminars. FIAC attendees can earn CPEs at a rate of one CPE per hour and a maximum of eight (8) CPE credits per day. The Federal Information Assurance Conference (FIAC) is an Official (ISC)2 CPE Submitter. FIAC will collect your name, CISSP number and the number of CPEs earned and have your CPEs posted to your account automatically by (ISC)2.

Exhibit Space

Q: What is the size of the exhibit area?

One exhibit space consists of an 8 x 8 area

Q: What is provided for the exhibitors?

Exhibitors are provided with a 6' x 2.5' skirted table, 2 chairs, a wastebasket, and a company sign.

Q: How many representatives are included in the exhibit fee?

The fee includes all meals and break service for four company/agency representatives. There is a $150 per day fee for each additional representative over four. This does not include parking or lodging. Exhibitors must make their own lodging arrangements. The fees for parking can be found here http://www.itcdc.com/about.php?p=7.

Q: Are there assigned spaces?

Yes, requests are first come, first served for a pre-determined floor plan. Contact your FBC representative to choose a table space. * FBC reserves the right to move table spaces prior to the conference.

Exhibitor Cancellation Refund Policy

Q: What is the cancellation/refund policy for exhibitors?

Exhibitors must submit a cancellation request in writing to their FBC representative at least 30 days prior to the conference. Exhibitors who cancel within 30 days of the conference will be liable for 100% of the exhibitor fee.

Equipment Shipping and Set-Up

Q:Where do I ship my equipment?

Convention Freight Services will be providing shipping and drayage services for the FIAC Conference. Click here for an exhibitor packet.

Q: When can we set-up our equipment?

Set-up begins on October 26 from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. You may also set up the morning of October 27th between 6:00 - 9:00 a.m.

Q: Can we leave our equipment set-up overnight?

Yes, security will be provided. *FBC will not be held liable for any equipment or displays left overnight.

Q:What if I need to use the loading dock?

Expected Attendance

Q: How many attendees are you expecting at the conference?

Last year we had over 450 attendees and this year we are anticipating around 500.

Q: What type of attendees are you expecting?

The conference will provide a clearinghouse of useful information and educational opportunities for Federal managers, security practitioners, acquisition and procurement officials, accreditors, network and systems administrators, systems security officers, and certifiers. Conference Attendance

Q: Can exhibitors attend the conference sessions?

Any exhibitor who wishes to attend the conference sessions must register as an attendee and pay the attendee registration fee. The exhibitor registration does not include attendance at the conference sessions.

Drawings and Givaways

Q: Can we hand out giveaway items or hold a drawing?

Yes, exhibitors are encouraged to include promotional giveaway items as part of their exhibit.
