FBC will once again host the Controlling Authority COMSEC & EKMS Conference 2010 set to convene Monday, March 15th to Friday, March 19th at the Waikiki Marriott Resort & Spa, Honolulu, HI. The theme for this year's conference is "Providing the Warfighter the Future, Today". Exhibits will open Tuesday morning March 16th, and will close Wednesday afternoon, March 17th. Exhibitors are able to attend conference sessions, as this conference is unclassified.
This conference is open to DoD, Civilian Agency, Civilian and U.S. Allied EKMS/COMSEC Community personnel. Conference speakers and content will be provided by U.S. Pacific Command J632I - Theater COMSEC Manager/Controlling Authority, Information Assurance Directorate. PACOM J6 provides integrated theater C4 capabilities to the Pacific Command in cooperation with its regional military partners through network operations, operational planning, and coalition interoperability. PACOM J65 provides Information Assurance services, policies and guidelines to Pacific Command and its allies.
Topics covered at this conference will include national policy and procedures, equipment (legacy and replacement), insecurities, physical electronic transition, key management infrastructure, cryptographic modernization, international EKMS, Tier-0/Tier-1 Operations and Central facilities.
