CONFERENCE FEE:

The $290.00 conference attendee fee covers all conference costs for each attendee for the full 5 days of the conference including: conference meeting space, audio visual equipment, conference management, conference website, conference printed materials and light refreshments. Your hotel room is not covered in this cost. Lunch is on your own each day of the conference.

* The conference General Session will take place in the Kona Moku Ballroom - Paoakalani Tower Third Floor. Breakouts and the exhibits will also be on the same floor and in the same tower.

REGISTRATION:

Early Registration will take place outside of the Kona Moku Ballroom -Paoakalani Tower Third Floor on Sunday, March 18th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

** We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this early registration time to avoid lines on Monday morning. The registration process takes less than five minutes.

If you cannot make it on Sunday, you may also pick up your badge and conference materials on Monday, March 19th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

DIRECTIONS TO THE MARRIOTT FROM THE HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

* Take the H1 Freeway - Eastbound to Honolulu. Exit at King Street (25A).

* Head towards Kapahulu Avenue then take a right onto Kapahulu Avenue.

* Continue approximately 2 miles, turn right onto Kuhio Avenue.

* At 2nd traffic light turn left on Ohua Avenue. Hotel is on the left.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:

The Marriott Waikiki Resort & Spa does not offer shuttle service to or from the Honolulu International Airport and although the hotel is approximately 10 miles from the Honolulu International Airport, there can be heavy traffic on the roads and highway. If you are using public transportation please allow at least forty-five minutes of travel time for this trip.

SHUTTLES & TAXI SERVICE:

There are several trusted shuttle and taxi services listed on the Honolulu International Airport website at www.honoluluairport.com if you wish to make reservations before arriving in Honolulu.

Taxi service from the Honolulu International Airport to the Marriott Waikiki is approximately $40.00 (each way).

Information Booths are also located in the Honolulu International Airport and booth personnel can assist you with your transportation needs once you’ve arrived.

RENTAL CARS AND PARKING:

It is not necessary to rent a car for this conference!

If you are staying at the hotel, and you decide to rent a car, you will be subject to daily parking rates at the Marriott. The current daily parking rate is $30.00 to self-park and $35.00 to valet. To avoid this cost FBC recommends that you do not rent a car but rather take a cab to the Marriott. Estimated cab fare is $40.00 (one way) from Honolulu International Airport. Hertz rental car is on-site at the Marriott should you need a car for a particular day, and Waikiki has many restaurants and attractions within walking distance of the Marriott.

If you still decide to rent a car for the week all major rental car agencies are located at the Honolulu International Airport. A list of the agencies can be found at www.honoluluairport.com under the “car rental” tab on the left hand side.

For those that are driving in to attend the conference, and are not staying at the Marriott, we will have a discounted EKMS Conference Validation stamp that will allow you to park for a 24 hour period for $8.00 per day.

DRESS CODE:

The dress code is Aloha casual (aloha shirt and kakis/slacks) or business casual. This includes active duty military personnel. No shorts or jeans please.

BADGES:

Conference badges will be provided at registration. IMPORTANT: These badges must be worn at all times while in the conference area.

AGENDA:

The working agenda will be posted on the EKMS conference site under the agenda tab when it is ready. Also, each attendee will receive a conference program that will include the final agenda during registration. MEALS:

Light continental breakfast will be provided each morning of the conference as well as an afternoon snack. Lunch is on your own for each day of the conference.

EXHIBITS:

Exhibits will be open from Tuesday, March 20th at 7:00 a.m. until Wednesday, March 21st at 3:00 p.m. in the Waikiki Ballroom - Paoakalani Tower Third Floor. Please take time to visit the exhibits.

SOCIAL:

The conference Social will take place on Tuesday, March 20th starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Waikiki Ballroom/Pool Area - Paoakalani Tower Third Floor.
