Kennet Ake

Kennet Ake currently serves the DOJ Enterprise Solutions Staff as a Special Projects Lead. He is currently serving as the Program Manager for DOJ Connect, which is a new portfolio for remote access solutions.

Mr. Ake is an IT executive with 20+ years of experience, with the majority of time as a consultant in the telecommunications industry. His specialties span several areas including mobility, CRM, billing, network, and IT outsourcing. Mr. Ake has a BS in Finance from the University of Virginia and an MA in Telecommunications from George Washington University.

John Asante
Microsoft Corporation
John Asante is a Cybersecurity Architect serving with Microsoft's Cybersecurity consulting practice where he assists government and commercial clients with their most sensitive and difficult challenges. He is a core member of the intrusion response and recovery team, which provides emergency response to Microsoft's clients worldwide.

Prior to rejoining Microsoft, Mr. Asante served with the U.S. Department of Defense where he led the security engineering and defense of several mission networks. Asante has held security engineering and management positions at leading Fortune 500 information security teams, including roles helping to better secure MasterCard's network of 25,000 member banks, Nike's multi-national PCI retail network, and was an early employee of a secure document management company acquired by Oracle. He first joined Microsoft in 2002 where he managed hack, leak, and internal investigations globally. Asante started his career in law enforcement, holds a CISSP, and is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle where he was a Congressional Goldwater Scholar.

Ron Bushar

Ronald Bushar currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Justice Security Operations Center at DOJ, and is the Department's point of contact for Insider Threat program activities. He has over 12 years of experience in the areas of information assurance, information security, cyber operations, and incident response. Prior to his work at DOJ, Ron led the Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Team at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), and spent eight years in various cyber operation project management and support roles at ManTech International Corporation. Ron began his career in the United States Air Force serving in the Information Warfare Aggressor Squadron at Lackland AFB. In November 2011, he received the Justice Management Division Special Commendation Award for his management of the Department's Information Security Assessment and Insider Threat Program.

Ron holds a Master of Science in Management of Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information System Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP), and maintains a professional membership with IEEE.

Matt Coose

Matt Coose is the Director of Federal Network Security (FNS) for the National Cyber Security Division (NCSD) of the Department of Homeland Security within the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD). The FNS program works across the federal government to improve cybersecurity posture by monitoring and measuring capabilities, assessing gaps, influencing policy and strategy, and driving implementation of risk mitigation efforts. He was recently appointed to a senior Office of Management (OMB) and Budget Task Force to develop cybersecurity metrics to be reported by all Federal agencies starting in 2010. He also chairs the Federal Systems Security Governance Board (FSSGB), providing guidance to the Information Systems Security Line of Business (ISSLOB), a joint OMB and DHS strategic sourcing body for cybersecurity related acquisitions.

Mr. Coose has over 19 years of leadership and management experience in both the federal and private sectors and has held a variety of positions in both business and information technology, including Aviation Officer in the U.S. Army, Six Sigma Consultant at General Electric, Program Manager at UUNET, Director of Managed Services Operations at OneSoft Corporation, and E-Commerce Branch Manager at the U.S. Department of Treasury.

Kevin Cox

Kevin Cox, PMP, CISSP, is Assistant Director for Information Security Technologies for the DOJ IT Security Staff. In that role, he works with his team and with DOJ Bureaus and Components to implement enterprise security solutions that strengthen the Department's IT security posture and provide near real-time awareness. Prior to his current role, he served as the program manager for the DOJ Computer Emergency Readiness Team (DOJCERT) and served as a project manager and Unix system administrator for a major server consolidation project. Kevin holds an MA in Public Policy from West Virginia University and an MA in Divinity from the University of Chicago.

David Cuthbertson
FBI
Mr. Cuthbertson entered on duty with the FBI in September 1988. Upon completion of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, Mr. Cuthbertson was assigned to the Cincinnati Division, where he specialized in investigations of motorcycle gangs, violent street gangs, and drug trafficking organizations. In May 1992, he was transferred to the Dallas Division, where he investigated Mexican drug trafficking organizations. During his last three years in the Dallas Division, Mr. Cuthbertson was assigned to the Plano, Texas, Resident Agency, where he investigated a variety of matters including white collar crime, drug trafficking, and violent crime.

In May 1997, Mr. Cuthbertson was promoted to a supervisory position in the Criminal Investigative Division, Drug Section, Latin American Unit. In that capacity, he oversaw a variety of operational, administrative, and liaison matters within the FBI's Drug Program. He also provided instruction regarding criminal enterprise investigations and task force operations to law enforcement officials at the FBI Academy and in Brazil and Costa Rica. Mr. Cuthbertson served as Acting Unit Chief of the Latin American Unit from January 1999 through May 1999, when he was promoted to serve as field supervisor of the Denver Division's Metro Gang Task Force. In Denver, Mr. Cuthbertson assumed program coordinator responsibilities for the Organized Crime and Drug Programs, and supervised a criminal enterprise squad that was collocated with three multi agency task forces.

In June 2002, Mr. Cuthbertson was appointed Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Division's Criminal Enterprise Branch. In this capacity, Mr. Cuthbertson was responsible for the activities of 12 squads, and served as Program Manager for the Organized Crime, Drug, Criminal Enterprise, and Violent Crime Programs. In July 2004, Mr. Cuthbertson was given responsibility for Chicago's International Terrorism and Domestic Terrorism Programs, including leadership of the Joint Terrorism Task Force and oversight of Chicago Division's counterterrorism preparedness efforts.

Mr. Cuthbertson was designated an Inspector in Place (IIP) in 2003, and served as an IIP during the inspections of the Cleveland, Buffalo, Laboratory, and Philadelphia Divisions. During a subsequent temporary duty assignment in the Inspection Division, Mr. Cuthbertson authored portions of the FBI's five-year strategic plan, 2004-2009.

In August 2005, Mr. Cuthbertson was promoted to Section Chief of the Programs Development Section in the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division in Clarksburg, West Virginia. In this position, Mr. Cuthbertson oversaw numerous CJIS programs and services including the National Crime Information Center, Interstate Identification Index, CJIS Advisory Processes, Foreign Fingerprint Exchange Program, CJIS Flyaway Program, and the CJIS Division Intelligence Group. In December 2006, Mr. Cuthbertson was promoted to Deputy Assistant Director of the CJIS's Policy, Administrative, and Liaison Branch. Mr. Cuthbertson was also responsible for Uniform Crime Reporting, Law Enforcement National Data Exchange, Law Enforcement Online, CJIS budget matters, and the physical infrastructure of the CJIS Division.

In 2007, Mr. Cuthbertson was named Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's El Paso Division. In this position, Mr. Cuthbertson was responsible for all FBI operations in seventeen counties in West Texas. He also served as President of the Federal Executive Association and at the time of his transfer was Vice-Chairman of the Executive Board of the local High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area.
In July of 2011, Director Robert S. Mueller, III, appointed Mr. Cuthbertson to Assistant Director of the CJIS Division.

Mr. Cuthbertson graduated magna cum laude from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and economics. He was employed in private industry as a staff accountant and accounting manager prior to joining the FBI.

Kevin Deeley

Kevin Deeley is the DOJ Chief Information Security Officer, and Deputy Chief Information Officer for the IT Security Staff. He has over 25 years of experience in leading government organizations in developing and managing IT security policy, standards and programs, and securing information systems and networks.

Mr. Deeley is responsible for leading and implementing the Department's IT Security Program for all Components, ensuring the development and enforcement of IT security policy and standards, and shaping the IT security planning process. Mr. Deeley also leads in the Federal community by providing shared solutions for Federal Information Security Management Act reporting and security authorization activities. He also serves as a sub-committee Co-Chair of both the Federal CIO Council's Information Security and Identity Management Committee and the Committee on National Security Systems.

Sean Finnegan
Technical Director, Microsoft Cybersecurity Services Practice

Sean Finnegan is the Technical Director for the Microsoft Cybersecurity Services Practice. In this role he is responsible for leading efforts to develop innovative solutions to critical customer cybersecurity challenges. His responsibilities includes leading a team of developers and engineers, incubating technology from Microsoft's product and research units, and participating in customer security assessment and incident responses.

Prior to this role Sean served as the Microsoft Federal Security Program Manager, a role that included educating government customers on how to best utilize the security functionality in Microsoft products as well as understanding the risks and security requirements of governments. Sean also provided technical support and served as the interface back to product development for government agencies performing security evaluations on Microsoft products.

Sean joined Microsoft in 1997 after working 7 years for the U.S. Government where he specialized in designing secure computing systems and is also a U.S. Navy Reserve Information Warfare Officer where he has supported the cyber threat and red team operations. He also is a graduate of University of Maryland University College.

Mike Fuller

Mike Fuller is a senior network security engineer with Veris Group LLC. His focus area is securing enterprise mobility and remote access solutions. He has over ten years experience in systems and security engineering, IA compliance, and project management. He has a bachelor's degree in Computer Information systems from James Madison University and a Master's degree in Information Security and Assurance from George Mason University. He also holds multiple industry certifications including CISSP, PMP, and MCSE.

Mike currently supports DOJ's IT Security Staff (ITSS) in evaluating the security of mobile solutions and other emerging technologies, developing associated DOJ guidance for these technologies, and assisting DOJ Components in securing their implementations. Mike led the team responsible for developing DOJ's current Outlook Web App, Mobile Device, and Virtual Meeting security requirements. He also led the development of ITSS's iOS and Android Risk Analysis, and iOS implementation instructions.

Ken Gandola

Ken Gandola has thirty years in systems development and IT at the highest staff / headquarters level within the Federal sector and provides a keystone to any project management team; providing a solid foundation and source for project and programmatic management expertise. Currently assigned to the DOJ OCIO IT Security Staff, Ken is an original member of the DOJ Line of Business (LOB) Shared Service Center (SSC). Ken spearheads the collaborative deployment and integration efforts, planning and coordinating the CSAM application initiatives of 14 federal agencies for FISMA Reporting. He was a key member of the program support effort to design, deploy and integrate the OMB CyberScope initiative to automate the FY09 Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Annual FISMA reporting utilizing CyberScope, another DOJ SSC Application developmental effort.

Edward Gibson

Edward P. Gibson, Esq., CISSP, FBCS, is a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Forensic Services Group. He specializes in gathering intelligence to detect, mitigate, and prevent corporate IT and security risks such as economic espionage, IT / bank fraud, and cyber attacks. Prior to PwC, 2005-2009, Gibson was the Chief Cybersecurity Advisor for Microsoft Ltd in the United Kingdom (UK) and praised for his unique ability to make security issues relevant and personal. From 1985-2005 Gibson was a career FBI Special Agent. He specialized in investigating complex international white-collar crimes, and was cited for his work in various espionage investigations involving FBI & CIA traitors. Assigned to the FBI's Office of Legal Attaché, U.S. Embassy London, from 2000-2005, he was responsible for FBI investigations in the UK and Ireland involving cyber intrusions, terrorism, extortion, kidnapping, crimes against children, and various complex financial frauds. Gibson also advised on Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) requests, extraditions, USA Patriot Act (emergency requests), and the increasingly crime plagued cyber environment. From 1980-1985, Gibson was a lawyer for a US based multi-national corporation. He is also a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales, was a Special Assistant United States Attorney, is a Vietnam era veteran (US Army), and holds an active Top Secret security clearance. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), and a member of the Information Security - Europe "Hall of Fame."

Michael Glenn

Michael Glenn leads the information security organization for CenturyLink, a global service provider. His area of responsibility includes policymaking; compliance assurance; technical risk assessment; identity management; computer forensics and e-Discovery; key security controls operations; legal and public policy technical guidance; and, managing vulnerabilities and cyber incidents. Prior to joining Qwest in 2000, he worked at the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site in a variety of engineering and management roles. He has over 25 years experience in information security, network architecture, software development, operations and engineering.

Mario Lopez Gomez

Mr. Lopez-Gomez is currently the Chief Technology Officer of the DOJ Civil Rights Division. Previously he was the Division's Chief Information Officer and Director of Geographic Information Systems. Mr. Lopez-Gomez began his information technology career with the Center for Electronic Records at the National Archives, continued with the Civil Rights Division and then spent several tours overseas directing the information technology operations of the U.S. Agency for International Development in Central America and West Africa. Mr. Lopez-Gomez holds a B.A. in History, an M.A. in International Studies from the School of International Service and an M.S. in Economics from The American University.

John Kavanagh
PwC
John G. Kavanagh recently joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Managing Director in the Washington Federal Practice. Mr. Kavanagh is a former 21-year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) with a demonstrated record of success conducting and managing a wide variety of complex global investigative and intelligence activities. Prior to his recent retirement, Mr. Kavanagh was detailed by the FBI to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as an Assistant Director. While assigned to DHS, he led a Directorate with the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office. This Directorate was responsible for the implementation of a national radiation prevention, detection, training and resolution program. Previous to this assignment, Mr. Kavanagh was the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Omaha Division. In this position, Mr. Kavanagh was responsible for the oversight of the FBI's Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, Field Intelligence Group (FIG), Security and Criminal programs throughout the states of Nebraska and Iowa.

During his career, Mr. Kavanagh also served in the FBIHQ, Counterterrorism Division, as the FBI Section Chief, International Terrorism Operations Section, and as the FBI Inspector, On-Scene-Commander Iraq. As the Section Chief in the FBIHQ Counterterrorism Division, Mr. Kavanagh provided the daily leadership to the principal section charged with providing program management to all FBI International Terrorism operations and initiatives involving AI Qaeda Iraq, Hezbollah, HAMAS, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Tamil Tigers, FARC, and numerous other state sponsors of terrorism. Mr. Kavanagh was also instrumental in establishing the joint Department of Defense-FBI counterterrorism mission in Iraq, the formation of the U.S. Iraqi Embassy's Hostage Working Group, the creation of the U.S-lraq Major Crimes Task Force, and the oversight of the historical Regime Crimes Liaison Office investigation from its initiation in Iraq to its successful prosecution of Saddam Hussein and six ranking officials of his former government. Due to Mr. Kavanagh's work in the FBI's National Security and Intelligence programs, he was named a member of the Intelligence Community Senior Leadership Corps by the Director National Intelligence.

Mr. Kavanagh is a graduate of St. John's University and Hofstra University School of Law, and has been a member of the New York Bar since 1984. Prior to entering the FBI, Mr. Kavanagh was an Assistant District Attorney in Westchester County, New York, and an officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Mischel Kwon

Mischel Kwon is an IT executive with more than 29 years of experience ranging from application design and development, network architecture and deployment, Information Assurance policy, audit and management, technical defensive security, large wireless system security, to building organizational and national level Computer Emergency/Incident Response/Readiness Teams.

Ms. Kwon currently serves as the President of Mischel Kwon & Associates, a security consulting firm specializing in Technical Defensive Security, Security Operations and Information Assurance.

Most recently, as the Vice President of Public Sector Security for RSA Security, Ms. Kwon was responsible for leading RSA in assisting the public sector security solutions, strategies, technologies and policy.

Ms. Kwon was named the Director for the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) in June 2008 where she spearheaded the organization responsible for analyzing and reducing cyber threats and vulnerabilities in federal networks, disseminating cyber threat warning information and coordinating national incident response activities.

Kwon brings a unique blend of hands on experience, academic research and training, and a seasoned understanding of how to build operational organizations from inception. Among her successes at DOJ, where she was Deputy Director for IT Security Staff, she built and deployed the Justice Security Operations Center (JSOC) to monitor and defend the DOJ network against cyber threats.

Ms. Kwon holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a graduate certificate in Computer Security and Information Assurance. She serves as an adjunct professor at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where Ms. Kwon also runs the GW Cyber Defense Lab.

Timothy Leschke

Timothy Leschke is a Senior Forensic Engineer with ManTech International, is a Forensic Computer Engineer at the US Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center, and is an adjunct instructor for the Graduate program in Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Mr. Leschke holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from Loyola University Chicago and is completing a Doctorate in Computer Science through UMBC. He is certified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Forensic Examiner, and certified by the U.S. Department of Defense as a Basic Digital Forensic Examiner.

Mr. Leschke's experience includes conducting digital forensic examinations as part of the FBI's Computer Analysis Response Team (CART), and conducting forensic tool development and research in digital forensics in support of the Defense Cyber Crime Institute (DCCI). Mr. Leschke is an Associate Member of the Digital and Multimedia Sciences section of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS). Mr. Leschke's current research addresses "visualizing change-over-time to support digital forensics."

Katie Lewin
Director of Cloud Computing, Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies

Katie Lewin is the Program Manager for Cloud Computing at General Services Administration (GSA). The program was established to drive the government-wide adoption of cost effective, green and sustainable Federal cloud computing solutions. The Program has four major initiatives: Apps.gov, E- mail in the Cloud, Security as a Service, and Data Center Consolidation.

In her role as Program Manager, Ms. Lewin is responsible for identifying, developing and delivering methods for agencies to use cloud computing capabilities. Previously, she served as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), GSA.

Previous to her work at GSA, Ms. Lewin was an information technology consultant at SRA International and Lockheed Martin, working with clients at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), other financial management agencies, and the Federal Aviation Administration.

Ms. Lewin began her career in the Federal government at the Library of Congress and has worked at the Office of Management and Budget and the IRS. She has a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University and an undergraduate degree in American History from Trinity University.

Tom Lyons

Tom Lyons brings over twenty years of comprehensive experience in Network Security, Data Communications and Computer Engineering to his current role as Vice President of Product Management for Fidelis Security Systems. Prior to joining Fidelis, Mr. Lyons held executive and field leadership positions at industry leading hardware and software manufacturers - Cisco Systems, Nokia, Bay Networks, Microsoft, Compaq Computer Corporation and IBM. Mr. Lyons has also been an integral part of five successful start-ups including Solera Networks, IronPort Systems, Network Alchemy, Inktomi Corporation and Space Communications Company. Mr. Lyons has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dave Marcus

Dave Marcus currently serves as Director of Advanced Research and Threat Intelligence for McAfeer Labs, focusing on bringing McAfee's extensive security research and global threat intelligence to McAfee's customers and the greater security community. Mr. Marcus' current focus at McAfee Labs includes advanced research, threat intelligence projects, media, and thought leadership responsibilities including social media technology engagement and research. He is also co-host of AudioParasitics - The Official PodCast of McAfee Labs. Mr. Marcus also has responsibilities for all publications from McAfee Labs, such as the Labs' journal of security vision The McAfee Security Journal as well as its Quarterly Threat Report and yearly Threat Predictions. Prior to joining McAfee, Mr. Marcus has held leadership and consulting positions focusing on information technology security services, network and host intrusion analysis, forensic analysis and testimony, threat research & countermeasures, and has provided professional consulting services. His industry experience crosses all IT-based industries with a determined focus on advanced intelligence gathering, digital forensic analysis, as well as intrusion detection/prevention and analysis on both the network and host. Doug McManus

Doug McManus is a 21-year veteran of the Civil Division and currently serves as Director of the Office of Policy and Management Operations where he oversees Information Technology, Security and Facilities. In the late 1990s, before entering the IT arena, Doug served as a Litigation Support Specialist and managed high profile cases ranging from large nationwide health care fraud investigations to the litigation and investigations resulting from the events that occurred in Waco, TX. From 2003 through 2007, he served as Chief of Litigation Technology for the Civil Division and supported Department leadership offices on several priority matters involving electronic discovery policy and production. During that period, Doug also served for more than one year as IT Director for the Columbia Accident Investigation Board at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

Doug received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh where he recently completed a four-year term as President of the Alumni Association.

Todd Miller
Civil Division

Todd Miller is Chief of the Civil Division's JCON Engineering and Operations Branch. The JCON EO branch is a five-member government team responsible for architecting all engineering requirements in-house. The team manages a 98%-virtualized server infrastructure, with almost a petabyte of storage and network connectivity in the Division's 16 buildings. They have successfully consolidated the Civil Division's server infrastructure, reducing the number of computer rooms and overhead costs by creating a "vendor neutral" infrastructure. Over the past year and a half, Todd's team has also virtualized 2600 desktops in the Division. Todd has been with the DOJ Civil Division for 9 years. Todd earned an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland College Park and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ohio State University.

Bill Morgan

Mr. Morgan has 20+ years experience leading major business growth and transformation initiatives relating to secure Information and Communications Technology (ICT) deployments around the world. He is known for achieving corporate results by aggressively driving the convergence of human capital and business processes with complex and secure technologies.

He is an active investor and executive at Biometric Signature ID with a comprehensive background in physical and logical security systems. He is also a member of the Security Industry Association and has participated in many other international standards bodies with the development and harmonization of interoperable software security products.

Mr. Morgan has made dozens of appearances on Fox, CBS and other nationally syndicated radio shows as a cybersecurity expert addressing and commenting on current online threats ranging from clickjacking, identity theft and cyber bullying.

He has presented at major technical conferences including recent ISC Solutions on Leveraging the Power of the One-Card Solutions for Higher Education and at ASIS regarding Security ROI.

He recently served as a Senior Technical Advisor on behalf of the World Bank to oversee the design, development, commissioning, staffing and operations of the Rwanda National Data Center (Tier IV architecture) and Internet Virtual Landing Point including the security of those technology assets and services housed within this significant Kigali facility. It currently operates, manages and protects over $380+ million USD of broadband technology assets supporting the East African Community's emerging cloud services.

Dr. Sridhar Muppidi

His current responsibilities include technical strategy for IBM Security which includes mobile, analytics, cloud, etc. In his career at IBM, his responsibilities included SOA & Cloud Security Architecture, Identity & Access Management, Policy Management and solutions which are based on these. He was the lead architect for IBM Security Policy Management solution, and led the product architecture & design activities, as well as collaboration across IBM for a unified security policy management solution. His current responsibilities also include providing secure cross brand security solutions to enterprises, leading work groups in security & privacy and representing IBM in open standards activities.

Bruce Oehler

Bruce Oehler possesses nearly 20 years experience in the Information Technology industry. For the last two years, Bruce was the Managing Principal for ArcSight's Federal Security Operations Center (SOC) consulting organization. He leveraged his lessons learned to build, grow, and manage new Federal security operations centers. Prior to that, he was on-site ArcSight Professional Services representative at a large US Federal organization. In this capacity, Bruce architected the initial ArcSight instances and assisted in designing the SOC for the customer and all internal components. Bruce then transferred his efforts to building content and winning enterprise-wide support for the insertion of dispersed ArcSight connector installations.

Bruce's current role is in Federal Business Development for ArcSight, an HP company. He holds Masters and BS degrees from Virginia Tech.

A graduate of Iowa State University's Cyber Corps Master's Degree Program and winner of a Federal Computer Week 2006 Rising Star award, Adam Oline presented a paper on Exploring Three-Dimensional Visualization for Intrusion Detection at VizSEC 2005. Adam was previously employed for over three years as an IT Specialist with the DOJ IT Security Staff, working in the Department's Shared Service Center for FISMA Reporting.

Eric R. Olson was named Acting Chief Information Officer / Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Information Resource Management (IRM) at DOJ in August 2011. As the Department's senior technology executive, Mr. Olson is responsible for providing leadership to and oversight of the Department's $3B portfolio of information technology programs and services in support of the Department's expansive and technology-intensive law enforcement mission.

Most recently Mr. Olson served as Deputy CIO / Director for e-Government Services at DOJ where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of IT operations and mission-critical programs encompassing enterprise network and web services, and law enforcement information sharing and open government programs.

Prior to joining DOJ in 2003, Mr. Olson was a consultant with Accenture where he was responsible for leading IT solution delivery projects and business development activities primarily at Fortune 500 telecommunications companies. Mr. Olson also held technology management positions at both Verizon and Sprint where he was responsible for leading large IT programs in the areas of enterprise application development, enterprise architecture and business process redesign.

Mr. Olson earned a Masters degree in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University.

Jason Ostrom supports Avaya as Sr. Manager for the MSSG VIPER (Voice over IP Exploit Research) Lab R&D Team, where he has conducted many successful VoIP penetration tests for large enterprises. With over 14 years of experience in the security implementation and design of enterprise networks, Jason is responsible for VIPER's VoIP vulnerability research and consulting services. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, he is author of the VoIP Hopper assessment tool and speaks regularly at security conferences such as DEFCON, ToorCon, and ShmooCon. Jason is a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE 15239) and holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science with a focus on Information Security from James Madison University.

Julie Peeler

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Peter has over eight years of experience in software development and information technology security within the federal sector. Employed by CyberBalance, LLC as a federal contractor for the Department of Justice Line of Business (LOB) Shared Service Center (SSC), Mr. Peter manages and is involved in the entire software development life cycle, including requirements development and analysis, application design, development, deployment, and testing for both the CSAM and CyberScope applications. In addition, Mr. Peter also coordinates integration and planning for the CSAM application with several federal agencies involved with the LOB SSC.

Tim Polk

Tim Polk is a Computer Scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Tim started at NIST in 1982, and joined the Computer Security Division in 1988. He has focused on cryptographic security mechanisms, with an emphasis on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) standardization and deployment. In January, he became the manager for NIST's Cryptographic Technologies group. Tim previously served for four years as Security Area Director for the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Tim is also co-author of the book "Planning for PKI." He has degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland.

Don Proctor

Don Proctor is a Senior Vice President at Cisco in the Office of the Chairman and CEO. As the leader of Cisco's Cybersecurity Task Force, he works with Cisco customers and partners, as well as worldwide government leaders in defense, civilian agencies, and the intelligence community to advance the safety, privacy, and integrity of their critical network infrastructure.

In his tenure at Cisco, Proctor has served on or led a broad variety of Cisco's corporate boards and councils, including the Enterprise Business Council, the Cisco Development Council, the Software Council, the Diversity and Inclusion Council, the Public Policy Council, and the Cancer Support Network.

Proctor joined Cisco in 1995 and has held a variety of leadership positions in the company's enterprise, commercial, and service provider businesses. Most recently, he led Cisco's software development group and was responsible for Cisco's VoIP, web collaboration, Cisco IOS, network management, and global government solutions businesses. Before that, he was Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's Service Provider Switching Group, the Voice Technology Group, and the Collaboration Software Group. Early in his tenure at Cisco, he led the product team that developed Cisco's first integrated voice/data router. Prior to joining Cisco, he worked for software maker Sybase.

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Proctor is also part of the professional faculty in the Management of Technology graduate program at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and formerly taught in the UC Berkeley Extension Telecommunications Engineering certification program.

Holly Ridgeway

Mrs. Ridgeway currently serves as the Department of Justice, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer and Program Manager of the Justice Security Operations Center (JSOC). In these roles, she provides visionary leadership to combat the Advanced Persistent Security Threat to DOJ networks while balancing mandated compliance requirements and components' business line needs. Mrs. Ridgeway promotes collaboration and creativity to achieve DOJ's goals and objectives. She has served in different IT Security roles for DOJ over the past eight plus years.

In 2010, Mrs. Ridgeway received the prestigious Federal 100 award that recognizes individuals in government and industry who have made significant contributions to the federal information technology community. Also in 2010, she received the Justice Management Division Performance Award for successfully defending the Department during incidents and for the implementation of advanced capabilities in the JSOC.

Mrs. Ridgeway currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland, University College in the fields of Cybersecurity, Information Systems Management and Information Assurance. Mrs. Ridgeway earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management and a Master of Science in Computer Systems Management with a specialty in Information Assurance. She holds two certifications, Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

Melinda Rogers is Assistant Director for Information Security Assurance at the Department of Justice in the Office of the Chief Information Officer. In this role she leads a staff of IT security specialists providing certification and accreditation oversight, as well as the Information Systems Security Line of Business team supporting the Cyber Security and Assessment Management solution. She is also responsible for ensuring the Department's policies and standards align with Federal Information Security Management Act requirements and various applicable federal mandates. Prior to DOJ, Melinda served as Assistant Vice President for Equifax's Fraud Prevention and Identity Verification Solutions. She has 14 years of success at blue-chip companies including Procter & Gamble and NationsBank before embarking on a career with the federal government. Ms. Rogers earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from George Mason University.

Gordon Snow

Mr. Snow entered on duty as a special agent with the FBI on March 8, 1992. Upon completion of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, he was assigned to the Birmingham Division's Huntsville Resident Agency. While there, he investigated violent crime, drug, civil rights, public corruption, and white-collar crime matters.

In April 1996, he was assigned to the Critical Incident Response Group as a member of the Hostage Rescue Team. During that time, he took part in several sensitive rendition missions; conducted terrorism assessments overseas with the Department of State; and was assigned to assessment, protection, and investigative support missions after the bombing of the USS Cole in Aden, Yemen, and the embassy bombings in Nairobi, Kenya.

Mr. Snow was promoted to supervisory special agent in the Counterintelligence Division's Middle East Unit in January 2001. Two years later, in January 2003, he was assigned to the Detroit Division, where he supervised the foreign counterintelligence program and served as the SWAT program coordinator. In April 2005, Mr. Snow was appointed chief of the Weapons of Mass Destruction and Acquisition of U.S. Nuclear & Missile Technology Unit at FBI Headquarters.

In May 2006, Mr. Snow was selected as the assistant special agent in charge of the San Francisco Division's San Jose Resident Agency. In that role, he had operational responsibility for the counterterrorism, cyber, white-collar crime, and violent crime squads; the San Jose members of the Joint Terrorism Task Force; the High-Value Computer Crimes Task Force; the Silicon Valley Regional Computer Forensics Lab; and the Monterey Bay Resident Agency. He also served as the SWAT program manager.

Mr. Snow was assigned to the Afghanistan theatre of operations as the FBI's on-scene commander for the Counterterrorism Division in June 2007. Following his return to the U.S., he was appointed section chief in the Cyber Division in January 2008 and detailed to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, National Counterintelligence Executive. During that assignment, he and his staff led the effort in drafting the government-wide Cyber Counterintelligence Plan under Homeland Security Presidential Directive-23/National Security Presidential Directive-54, the Comprehensive National Cyber Initiative.

In January 2009, Mr. Snow was appointed as chief of the Cyber Division's Cyber National Security Section and the director of the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force. In November 2009, he was named deputy assistant director of the Cyber Division.

Mr. Snow is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a B.A. in English. He received an M.B.A. with an emphasis in finance from Virginia Tech in 2001 and a J.D. from Catholic University's Columbus School of Law in 2006. Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Snow served in the United States Marine Corps for more than 10 years, as both an enlisted Marine and as an officer.

Dan Waddell

Mark White

Mark White is the Chief Technology Officer of Deloitte Consulting LLP's Technology practice, and a senior IT principal on the Department of Homeland Security account team. In his eight years at Deloitte, he has served clients in the federal, financial services, real estate, high tech, energy, transportation and other industries. His professional focus is architecting, developing and delivering critical business solutions for clients.

During his time at Deloitte, Mark served in multiple leadership roles: Program Delivery Principal for major federal programs and Engagement Delivery Principal for Global 100 Financial Services and Real Estate firms. His engagement focus areas include IT service management, IT service architectures, operations engineering, data center design and consolidation, and business intelligence systems. Prior to Deloitte, Mark was a founder and CTO of Realeum, a real-estate software managed services provider. He started his career in consulting with 14 years at Arthur Andersen, culminating his time there as the Managing Principal for the North American Advanced Technology practice.

Mark has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Systems Architecture from the University of Georgia. He also holds a Masters of Applied Mathematical Sciences with a concentration in Operations Research from the University of Georgia.
