Objectives

The CyberMaryland Conference, “Leading the Cyber Generation” is designed to address the biggest challenge facing our nation - How do we find, train and motivate a generation that will protect America, innovate the technologies needed and accelerate successful businesses in the Cyber marketplace.

The Conference, which takes place during Cyber Security Awareness Month, is a unique two-day event that will allow organizations to achieve the following objectives:

  • Meet and interact with the up-and-coming Cyber Generation of students and young professionals and a network of top cyber leaders;
  • Experience the future of Cyber Security and interact with emerging technologies yet to be commercialized during the “Protect the Future” session”;
  • Experience current Cyber Security technologies presented by today’s most innovative and effective Cyber Security companies in the CyberMaryland Industry Showcase;
  • Hear a special session, “Respect the Past”, presented by prior Hall of Fame inductees covering milestones in Cyber Security;
  • Interact with the leading Cyber Policy makers in Washington that set the course for our country;
  • Be there for the unveiling of the Interactive Cyber Security Timeline that will be released to the nation providing a detailed history of the industry and a look to what needs to be invented for the future;
  • Understand the interconnection within the Cybersecurity ecosystem by joining the CyberMap and the unveiling of the 2015 CyberMaryland Report;
  • Witness live Cyber “battles” from our region's top high school, college, and professional teams in the Maryland Cyber Challenge (MDC3);
  • Meet in person with the 2015 National Cyber Security Hall of Fame leaders that created, invented, and defined the industry as they are inducted on the evening of the 29th at the Four Seasons Hotel.
