The Foreign Language Program Office of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the National Cryptologic
School (NCS), and the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) are pleased to announce the Second LEARN
Conference for instructors of Russian, to be held at DLIFLC, Monterey, CA, August 1-4, 2011. The primary intent of the LEARN
conferences is to provide language instructors working for the U.S. Government an opportunity to share their teaching expertise.
In recent years similar conferences have been held in Chinese, Arabic, Persian Farsi, Spanish, Korean, Hindi-Urdu, and in
AF/PAK languages. These conferences are an excellent venue for participants to exchange methodologies, technologies and
experiences in language and Area Studies teaching, as well as an opportunity to network with colleagues from other federal
government organizations, the military, and academia.
