U.S. Department of Justice Cyber Security Conference
President Obama has identified cyber security as an imperative of National Security; and the Department of Justice (DOJ) is recognized as a leader in cyber security among civilian agencies. Cyber attacks not only impact DOJ information systems, but also the DOJ mission, its public image, and public trust. Each of us has an important role to fight the persistent threat to DOJ’s information and to ensure the secure operations of our systems and networks.
With this in mind, DOJ is presenting the 2nd Cyber Security Conference to bring together those who specialize in cyber security from all DOJ components. The Cyber Security Conference is a two day interactive and educational forum. The theme of the 2010 conference is "Keep Our Information Secure". It will provide component Chief Information Officers (CIOs), IT security professionals, and staff responsible for network operations throughout the Department an opportunity to learn firsthand about the emerging cyber threats and how to secure our systems from them. In addition, participants will learn about new technologies and the role they play in supporting the DOJ mission.
Conference highlights include:
- New Department security initiatives
- Comprehensive review into an actual attack on DOJ
- Emerging technologies and security capabilities piloted by DOJ Components
- Future direction of the Office of Management and Budget and the U.S. government
Attendance at specified sessions will meet the requirement for annual IT security training under the Federal Information Systems Management Act (FISMA).
There is no fee to attend. Register here.
